Frequently asked questions
What is CheckMyVetBill?
CheckMyVetBill explains veterinary billing line items. Upload a photo of your vet bill and we break it down in plain English: what each charge is, whether the price is within a typical range, and what to ask your vet before you pay.
Is CheckMyVetBill free?
During early access, analyzing bills is free for the first three bills per month. A premium tier for unlimited analysis, multi-pet records, and yearly spend reports is planned.
Is CheckMyVetBill medical or financial advice?
No. CheckMyVetBill explains billing line items and typical price ranges. Treatment decisions belong with your veterinarian, and payment questions belong with your hospital.
What happens to my bill after I upload it?
We parse the bill, mask owner names and addresses immediately, and delete the original photo within 30 days. Anonymized procedure prices may be aggregated into our cost guides.
Where do your cost ranges come from?
Ranges start from published veterinary care guides and, once enough bills have been submitted, from anonymized real bills. Prices vary by region, clinic, and pet — treat ranges as a starting point, not a quote.
